Mr SWH introduced Nutrafol into our lives a few years ago and we haven’t looked back. Truly the only hair health supplement that has actually made a difference in the strength and fullness of my hair. I had to stop for a while when trying to conceive because it has too much Vitamin A. As always, check with your doc before starting a new supplement! They have a version for men that Mr. SWH uses, and now even have a breastfeeding version for new moms which is awesome (because, you know, we all love that postpartum balding phase...)

Microfiber Hair Wrap Towel

I’ve had this set of 2 towels for an embarrassingly long time. Anyone have tips on how often I should be renewing my towels? My set is at least 6 years old. I use them at home, I take them with me when I travel. I can’t live without them. They prevent breakage and absorb really really well. They are also super light. Also the button and loop make it super easy to wrap for dummies like me.

Ketoconazole Shampoo

Dr. Shireen Idriss, my favorite online derm, recently posted this tip. Did you know that anti-dandruff (specifically Ketoconazole) shampoo helps support hair growth? Shukran to the badass Dr. Idriss for not gatekeeping this secret. You are meant to do this twice a week, and I’ve just started, but so far I’m feeling very good about it. Stay tuned and I’ll report back (with hopefully fuller hair) in a month.

Aveda Botanical Repair Leave in Conditioner

This one was a tip from a hairdresser at Aveda. I use this after my shower when I feel like my hair is in need of exra love. I also keep it in my beach bag all summer and baste my hair in it after I come out of the water. I’m not sure if this is scientifically backed in any way but I feel like it does a great job protecting my hair from chlorine, salt water, and sun damage on long beach days.
